A bit late weighing in on this tidbit regarding a rumoured fight between Rich “No Love” Clementi and Melvin “The Young Assassin” Guillard at UFC 79 in December, so I will keep it brief.

My prediction is that Guillard will?destroy Clementi in this match.? Everyone knows that these two have a lot of history including Myspace shenanigans and supposed death threats and pushing fights.? Guillard is explosive and dangerous, while Clementi is just average.? Guillard is coming off an 8 month suspension for Cocaine use?while Clementi is coming off 8 months of mediocrity.

?All I know is that?I would not want to be the first fighter to welcome Guillard back to the UFC…..?so why does Clementi take the fight?? Why not? As far as the UFC goes, he has very little to lose.. Clementi surprised me by getting past Anthony Johnson at UFC 76,?although I haven’t seen that undercard fight yet.?? In fact Guillard is in a similar situation after an extended layoff and he is likely expected to be somewhat rusty.?

All I can say is that the lightweight division better hope and pray that Melvin has not been training his ground game exclusively for the last 8 months… which is exactly what he should have ben doing.? If so, his return could send a large ripple through an already stacked division.

I know one thing though, Santa is bringing Rich “No Love” Clementi a serious beating for Christmas… and that’s one gift you can’t return on boxing day.
